AUDIBLES are great! Can't Post

i was always told by my mentor to have at least ONE audible before any attempts of free flying. today i got the second. so, my right ear gives me warnings about free fall-altitudes and canopy-ride, a tic later than that my right gives me another warning about free fall! so, besides checking my analog altimeter regularly Angelic, I've got two independent devices to actually check up on me.. Crazy

it's not only the digital swooper, it's also the digital FREEFLIER..

did i say i love audibles!? Smile

My Neptune regularly decides to STFU during freefall(*), so.. Don't forget to watch the ground and/or visual altimeter even if you have tons of things that go BEEP in your head. (=

(*): When it shuts up it will actually beep on the last swoop alarm, at 300 feet. Hopefully my cypres would have kicked in by then.

Hopefully your brain would have kicked in long before that. Tongue

It has done that every time so far. I get this strange feeling at around 4000 feet, telling me to look down and/or check the visual..

We do build up an internal clock that's for sure. Where that can fail us though is on a long spot or if we happen to be getting a lower an normal pass, say 10k instead of 14...

now, what if you've lost your altitude awareness on a long spot, right over a 1000ft hill!? Crazy

Thank Dog there's no big hills in Switzerland. Or Norway. (:
