I am now only shooting 16:9 on an HC5. I also don't do any tandem video or AFF video. Just VRW 4 way team video and freefly fun jumps. I don't expect to ever go back to 4:3. I want all my video to be HD 1080i.
16:9. I have a HC5 and I want to shoot HD and it'll only downconvert to widescreen, and I like widescreen anyway (for tandems at least), we have more tandem vidiots shooting 16:9 now than 4:3 but lots of other people still shoot in 4:3, giving me more work when editing daily vids

Because I have to re-size the 4:3 clips to fit and make a decision about the horizontal positioning (sometimes people fill up the screen...), and because the computer then takes more time to render those resized clips. The pc at the dz isn't so bad (it better not be) but for my laptop it's hard work.
