Mike was killed in a motorcycle accident yesterday. They pulled him off life support in the wee hours of this morning. He was passionate about skydiving and loved life.
DZ plans: We are all deeply saddened with the events that have happened. So to help us cope the DZ will host the following events.
Friday night, around 6 or 7 until whenever, we will have a large bon fire so everyone can congregate and tell their "Mike" stories. I'll find something to throw on the grill. If you can bring a small something for the meal that would be great. If we can we will set up the projector to view photos and videos.
Saturday around noon during the DZ Easter party we will make a memorial "Mike" way jump. Gunny Holt will be there to jump his large flag. The Silver Wings are also coming to participate.
Mike was an integral part of the staff. We want to celebrate the time we had with him and the contributions he has made to our lives. - Daniel

Mike's memorial page will be in this months (August) Parachutist magazine on page 65.
The picture chosen was one from a hoola hoop dive made in Rantoul in 06. A picture from that dive made it into Parachutist magazine but none with Mike in it. He wasn't upset but had really wished he had made it in.
I wish I could give props to photographer but I do not know who it was.
