holy shit we got it
Can't Post
just a quick post from arizona -
after 13+ jumps we held a 300 way for 7 seconds. julie and i are currently pretty drunk, so i think i will hold off on the serious updates until tomorrow. some highlights:
breakoff on jumper extraction is scary when the jumper in question has a momentary pilot chute in tow
the alpha team is awesome for hanging in there while we get to do the 'glory jumps'. we couldn't have done it without them.
we had some awesome pilots, and the skydive az team never let us down. this record took the efforts of nearly 1000 people, not just 300.
finally, i am in awe that we managed to have 300 close-to-perfect skydives all that the same time, and the worst injury after 3900 consecutive jumps was a broken ankle. maybe that's the most important stat of all.
Congrats Bill and Julie! It's highlights like this one that make us sit back, take a big HUGE collective breath, and sigh a breath of satisfaction of a job well done.
Thanks for keeping us informed so we could celebrate across the globe with you!
Congratulations on being part of that record Bill. 3 900 jumps with only a broken ankle to show for it is a major testament to the organization that went into this!
The most sincere congratulations from a very far, southern corner of the skydiving world!! Please, get past your hangover and as soon as you can, fill us in with the details! and, once again,
Congratulations, Bill!!!!!!!!!!! That rocks!!!!! Just post some pictures, updates whenever you get the chance! I'm so excited for you guys, and I can't wait to hear more!
congratulations bill and thanks for all the updates and making the effort to keep us in the loop. It made it that much more exciting for us to be able to feel being a part of it.
The 100 may have to be hybrids. It sounds like the 300 get to moving pretty slowly. Alternatively, if you had special suits you could slow the fall rate. It's been done.
