"USPA" TDM Rating ??'s...Do I have to get it?? Can't Post

Hi, I've been a Strong JM since the early 90's, and do just enough jumps to stay current. Recently a friend mentioned that I would now be required to get the USPA tandem rating (since that wasn't offered when i got my rating), which would mean seeing an examiner to get signed off. does anyone know the logistics on how the "uspa" tandem rating works, and if I'm required to get it?
Thanks in advance
