Skydive Jersey, Channel Islands April 2003
Can't Post
Hi All, I am organising a 4 day skydiving event in Jersey, Channel Islands from the 3rd-6th April jumping onto St. Aubins beach, on the south coast. If you would like further info please visit our discussion forum at:
http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/skydivejersey/
The event is available to anyone with FAI 'A' License. Please note: THIS IS A NOT FOR PROFIT EVENT! FUN ONLY!
Wish you all blue skies and light winds. Thanks for reading, Alun.
Yeah I know. Landing fees alone on each lift work out at £6 per person. Then you've got the £420 per hour for the plane. However, we've gone on the better safe than sorry approach with the caveat that if we have any cash left over it's going to be refunded or stuck behind a bar on the last night....whatever people want. I'm running a jump democracy!
About April... not the best time of year admittedly.
Unfortunately we are limited by a local air navigation order to jumping between September & April, simply as a result of the increased air traffic in the summer months. Unfortunately Jersey is to small to land a plane on anything other than at the main airport so we're at their mercy.

Tanden instructor and camerman sought...
[In reply to]

Dear all,
I am also actively looking for a tandem instructor. Have heard from quite a few people that want to do tandems and it certainly would help towards our events costs. My current thinking is that the tandem instructor would charge £200 of which £90 is retained towards costs leaving the instructor with £110. Video would be £50 extra, with £25 being retained towards costs and £25 going to the cameraman. If you know people that would be interested please ask them to get in touch through the yahoo site (see top post).
Come to the skydive event in Jersey and pick up some new gear VAT free!
Get a cypres for £590.
Of course, you would have to declare your purchases on return to the UK and I know you would because you love Gordon Brown. I know you do, he needs to pay the firemen.....
Due to the number of tandem jumpers we have and a negotiated discount on landing fees. The registration fee will most likely include a refund on or free first jump. Plus the cost of a lift will most likely be reduced to £22.
we have now found a cheaper aircraft. A LET 410. This means that we can reduce the jump costs to £17 (TBC) and the registration fee has halved to £20 (TBC).
