Forum software? Quote | Reply

Hi,

I'm looking to develop a forum (for car people, not skydivers!). I was wondering if you used forum software, like Discus, to create this forum. It's really good.

Thanks,

A.

You may want to try this thread in the TalkBack forum, gets pretty lonely down here. Smile

http://www.gossamer-threads.com

This is the fourm software thats running this site.

If you wanted to do it for free look a http://www.phpbb.com and use http://www.mysql.com as the database backend. If you are having it hosted on a web server you don't own... you are looking at a harder option, but phpbb works well on most hosted solutions that have PHP support. If you want a CGI fourm there are lots of options for that out there too.

It will be hosted by an ISP. I'll try the free stuff first!

Thank You!
