Hi,

Has any one? or does anyone know if it is possible to fit a spectre 170 into a Javelin (pre oddessy) J1 container?

probably not, unless it's a "JIKL" which I think might have been supposed to be J1KL.

Keep in mind I don't know much of anything about sunpath's products, other than how to read a chart.

I pack my Tri-160 into my J-1 without any hassle at all (granted, the canopy isn't new and slippery).

I've also read that Tri's pack larger than Spectre's.

My wife had her triathlon 160 in a J2. It wasn't loose by any means. Another customer has a Sabre 170 in a J3. It appears that there are Oddessy versions that might hold it but I don't think the original J1 would hold a 170 appropriately. You might close it but I doubt it would be pretty.

But, YMMV.

I've had a Spectre 170 fit into my Jav J1, but it didnt fit well and I didnt actually wind up jumping it (I was renting the canopy before I downsized to my Sabre 150). It was pretty tight in there.
