Is Montmarte safe to stay in?
Can't Post
Hi everyone! Please excuse me for wandering in here and writing in English. I'm trying to find a place to stay in Paris in late June. I found an air-conditioned flat in Montmarte but am a little concerned about the area. Is it safe for a family with kids?

Hi,
Yes Montmartre is a safe area of Paris. It is very touristical place. If you go 600m to the south of Montmartre you'll be in the hot quarter of Paris which is Ok also but not for kids at night. Do you have the street name , just to check if the flat is really in Montmartre ?

All I know for the location is that the balcony windows overlook the cemetary and that the Lamarck-Caulaincourt metro station is about 7minutes from the apartment.

yes, the area is safe and nice, and you'll be quite close from the touristic area of Montmartre but not right in the middle though (so it should be nicer and calmer but convenient to visit during the day and to get out at night)... You lucky one! (is it visible I'm homesick!? :-)
