Cypress life? Can't Post

I'm looking for a used cypress to go in my second rig. I know they need batteries every 2 years and a check ever 4, so I understand the depreciation of one. My question is how long is the life span of the cypress?

Right now, they have to be retired 12 years from the date of manufacture.
