Yes that's true. PM him and I'm sure he'll give you the details.

Hey Nick,
PD's contracts (or agreements as we usually call them) are a fairly simple document that outlines what we expect from our sponsored athletes, and what they they are provided with in return. Agreements are signed from 1 to 2 years (depending on the situation) - but can be canceled or altered at any point should the need arise. They are binding in the sense that while the athlete chooses to work with us, we will hold him/her to the agreement made. However, if a sponsored persons heart is no longer in it - for any reason - it is usually best to end the relationship there and then and move on. In that sense, the contract/agreement isn't as "binding" as you might think.
We prefer to work with people that have a passion for the sport, our products and company. We are fortunate to have a great relationship with quite a few athletes (sponsored to varying degrees) and we are very happy to have Stu as a part of the PD family. As people on the forums know, he's a talented swooper and a person of integrity and character. We hope to have a long and good relationship with Stu for years to come.... contract or not :)
The sky is a big playground - there is room for people under all kinds of different parachutes up there. I look forward to next season, we have a bunch of new pilots coming up through the ranks that will for sure add some spice to the competitions.
May whoever has the most fun win!

Congrats to all those dudes who were picked up for major gear sponsorship. I think I'm going to get a neos and compete on it this upcoming season...
Why would you fly a non competition bread canopy when you just ordered a JVX sail, doesnt make much sence to me, That would be taking a step in the other direction.
Makes sence thanks for the explanation Kola, no harm in what I said, and of course Stew is an excelent candidate for sponsorship, I hope he will be happy with all his decisions he makes, cheers and blue skies Nick

Yes, I am very happy to say that I am now part of the PD family. PD has always been a staple in the skydiving industry and with their professionalism, passion for customer service, product quality, and for skydiving I am glad to now be part of the team.
My decision was not based on one single factor but multiple factors that I felt were important to me, and yes I did have a choice between PD and Team X. In fact, PD gave me the option to “bow out” of our agreement after learning I was offered a slot because they knew how big this could be. I don’t think it’s necessary to publicly tell why I switch but I will voice one of the factors that played a part in switching to PD. That being the opportunity to jump an HMA lined Velocity of similar size and wing loading to my JVX and being absolutely blown away on how it flew. Again this was only one small factor in the whole scheme of things.
Thanks again to both Daedalus and especially PD for the opportunities to work with your company. The next few years are definitely going to be exciting in the world of canopy piloting and I’m just glad to have a small part in it.
