The individuals don't get any notification. However, it seems that (in the U.S.) the NAA, exists mostly to sell World Record stuff to proud World Record holders. Through the NAA, you can purchase any number of World Record Holder patches, pens, etc. Also available are various certificates attesting to your World Record Holder status. You can buy a couple of different certificates, including fancy parchment certificates with embossed seals and signatures from FAI officials. While one would think that these should be delivered by dancing girls accompanied by a brass band as a gift from a grateful nation, it seems that they are not. Frown However, all this merchandise and more (NAA 12-pack coolers and stadium blankets) can be yours for just a credit card number at:
http://www.naa.aero/...erchandise/index.cfmWink

Cheers,

Kevin

While admittedly not a brass band, we were welcomed and thanked by dancing girls and a band from a grateful nation; just not ours. Now, upon returning to my grateful nation, I was subjected to a body search, fifty questions, and an excess baggage fee. Boy, it's nice to be back home.

LOL-I'll have to get ON before I worry about the wife Tongue

Funny though, right after the WT lot's of the folks at my dz were really interested in big ways. Several I sat down with and suggested a BWC even got the dates......

Nothing.

I think it's a lot like people deciding to do there first skydive when they are drunk at the bar. It looks different in the morning!

Who knows maybe with some twenty ways.....Tongue

In reply to:
These camps are not just for novice skydivers, over half of the people who normally attend our Big Way Camps have over 1,000 jumps and many are current World Record holders. Organizers from around the world have attended our camps specifically to learn our terminology and techniques in order to take them back to their local dropzones and continue the education world wide.

They ain't kidding. After the 400 way, and the 100 way camp I just got back from run by Kate, Tony, Larry and Dan, I basically re-wrote my playbook for the big way camps and dives that I do. It was great to see so many faces from the 400 way again, and so many new faces doing their first big ways together, and getting great results. It was challenging, a lot of fun, and I heartily reccomend it to anyone who has the wish to seriously get involved in big and mega way formations.

mmmmmm 500 way. I'm getting moist just thinking about one.
