Falcon Down	Can't Post

A movie is on the SciFi channel and they just did a HALO jump at night, the one thing that caught my attention was their gear. The canopies appeared to be 7 cell mains and all 4 used a rip cord. What I'm wondering is that they all pulled from the left side. Does anyone know of a container that uses a left handed rip cord?

Some HALO rigs use large 7-cell canopies, while others use large 9-cell canopies.
Main ripcords are popular on HALO rigs (try tossing a throw-out pilot chute while wearing huge ski gloves and numb fingers), but are all located on the right main lift web.
Main ripcords on the left side fell out of fashion during the 1970s.

Mine does... but for some reason I'm always having hard openings, and paying someone to pack for me is starting to get kinda pricey... Tongue

What about the HAHO PARIS gear, it's light on details.

Anyone know about the PARIS deployment system, can it be taken to terminal?

What's the rapid descent device? (I'm guessing B risers hooked to speed bar like setup?)

Since it makes reference to HAHO only and then only to 25,000 msl I would say it is not designed for HALO missions.
