Hover over a person on the image (taking care not to move the mouse) and a "tool tip" (floating text box) should appear containing the name of the person in that slot (if known). Currently only Sector 11 is populated (and can someone from our sector please check it is correct?)
If you click on the map, it should pop up a mailto (if you have a mail client installed, intergrated and security allows, with the co-ordinates clicked in. Put the name of the person in the space provided andhit send. Sorry about the quick mailto hack. Will try and get a form submission set up so it doesn't have to go through your mail client, when I get a chance, but I'd like to start this rolling asap.
Alternatively, take note of the X and Y coordinates and PM them to me with the name of the person in that slot. Please feel free to provide the names of your internet challanged friends if you are SURE you know which slot they were in!
Are any of the World Team camera people willing to provide a larger (but lower quality/dpi, i.e. rubbish for printing) version of the image for this project?
D'oh! Fixed it. Try again. The image map editing software that I'm using doesn't seem to accept relative image locations and I forgot to change the reference when I copied the file to the server. Sorry...it was late!
Plus, rather than send me coordinates, you can also tell me the sector, row and position in the row (the anchor being position 1), if you were on a whacker. Not sure how you describe a position in the base? Perhaps use the allocation code that were used in the dive design, for both thebase, and sectors (e.g 6)

Thanks Markus, that's very helpfull! :-S Why exactly doesn't it work? Is the image still broken? Is the JavaScript updating the co-ordinates not working? Does the mouse click not create an email?
Also if you could tell me what browser you are using (and OS)...
You could still PM me with your slot number per the sector maps and I'll update from that.

Yes, it would appear that the way that Mozilla and IE handle mouse position events is different (surprise, surprise) so, for the moment, clicking to email coordinates is IE only.
However, the hover-over name "tool tips" should work in most browsers.

Thanks to Håkan from Sector 8 for providing all their named slots, Markus for providing most of Sector 10, and the odd few individuals who have mailed me, 28.75% of the slots are now named. It would be 29% but Fortson put himself in Lars' slot in Sector 8! I assume you mean x=220,y=180? Please keep them coming! Also, don't forget the camerapersons!
Thanks to Bob Wright and Paul Marcellin for providing several names, as well as a few individuals supplying their own. I now have 141 slots named (35.25%). Keep them coming please!

Thanks to a load of names from Richard Bisson as well as several individuals, I'm now up to 40.25%
Haven't had any names yet from sectors 7 (not surprising since it's the English lacking Russian sector...FeFe?), but also the German (and others) sector 5!!
Also, where's all the dropzone.com'ers? Eddie, Mar, Bill Von???

Have now filled exactly 50% of the slots! Thanks to Maryvonne for completing sector 3 (11 and 8 are also complete), to Walter for providing the first (but still only) name in sector 5, François and Sven, as well as the individuals who provided their details. Just need B53 and B25 to complete sector 10.

Thanks to a prior miscount as well as a couple of new additions, I now have 206 names!
I've updated the site so now an immediate popup appears, and this pop-up also contains extra information such as that person's country, the number of jumps they have and their slot. The url is slightly different as all of the data is now coming from a database. Take a look
I like that I'm still listed as "Sector: Unassigned" - a tribute to my climb from the dark pit of the Bench to that brilliant flying organization, Super Sector Six.
Yeah, you suck! At reading posts that is. Actually, you may not actually suck at locating yourself in the picture, since there may have been a bug that caused the wrong coordinates to come out.
I've simplified the process now so the email is generated with the slot assignment, rather than coordinates (which may be inaccurate on some browsers). Please go to the website again, click your slot and fill in your name.
Thanks!
p.s. For everyone who can and will enter their information, please also provide the names of those to the left and right of you (if appropriate) if you can. Also, there is no need to provide country, number of jumps and sector information; all of that information is garnered from the World Team website
