Glad to see mine is still there!
There are 439 names on the list, so we can still be nervous

I went through and quickly tried to determine gender for the names on the list. As it is at the moment, it breaks down like this:
Male: 318 Female: 66 Undetermined: 54
I've attached the list. If someone from each country would like to go through their compatriot's names and either make sure I've allocated correctly or fill in anything missing, I'll update
Apologies if I'm unfamiliar with your culture's names, met you before and forgotten or just got it wrong in my haste - I mean no offence!
You should try comparing jump numbers from '04 ([http://theworldteam.com/Tmemb.htm]) and see who looks like they might be a bit rusty when they get to Thailand.
Dan O'Brrien's still only done 9,999 jumps -he ought to get at least one in before he goes !
Okay, Sector 11 is now officially the geeky sector! Time to request a transfer Markus? :-P
No chance, I think every sector should have one of the funny guys!
Looking at the stats from chester I think at least one person will hit the 1000-mark in Thailand. Do we have the "correct items" with us to celebrate this? M.

Damn you Pete, I have work to do!
Okay, I done a quick and dirty automated comparison (i.e. I haven't done a visual check for any differences in names, be they intentional i.e. one that comes to mind is Melanie going by Peschio in the 06 list and Conatser-Peschio in the 04) or otherwise i.e. typos. Here are some quick stats:
There were 188 matches between the two lists (i.e. given name and family name).
Most jumps between 2006 and 2004: 3500 Least jumps between 2006 and 2004: -250 (sic) (actually there are 5 people with 0 difference between jump numbers) Average number of jumps between 2006 and 2004: 600
If I get a chance, I'll go through by hand and see if I can match up any others that may have been missed out due to differences in names.
So, should I name and shame?! :-P Mind you, there is always tunnel time ;-)

I had a quick look to remove any obvious differences and have tidied up the following anomalies between the two lists:
Tone/Tuna Bergen Melanie Conatser/Conatser-Peschio Jean-Marc/Jean Marc Desfourneaux Robert/Bob Domeier Gérard/Gerard Felin Gulshin/Gull Gilbert ken/Kenneth Gregory Polo/Paul Grisoni ian "Milko"/Milko Hodgkinson Tom/Thomas Jenkins Jim/Weery Keery Stéphane/Stephane Mattoni Dan/DOB O'Brien Gary/Hod Sanders Sergeant/Kev Sargent Bert/Berthold Schaefer Tom/Tommy Schroder Bob/Robert Stumm Rosella/Rossella Tura Alexey/Alex Ustalov Bill/Bill von von Novak Tim/Timothy Weible Stéphane/Zun Zunino
Can anyone see any other obvious differences? Did anyone get married? Has there been any transcriptions between given name and family name?
I'm not sure about these two, country and number of jumps are similar, are they the same people?
Marc/Birky Jacobs Sidorgen/Gennady Sidorov
So there are now 209 matches between the two lists. Maximum and minimum are unchanged. The average has only gone up by ten to 610, but there are another 3 people with no difference in their jump numbers (although they do have fairly large multiples of x thousand jumps).
45 people have done 1000+ jumps since the last event. 9 have done 2000+. 2 have done 3000 and over!
Sorted out a few more differences (thanks for the confirmation Saskia):
Darryl/Dazzle Moran Kat Grix/Kathy Allen Raider Ramstad/ Ramstad Jr Santi Corella/ Corella Alonso Toni Lopez Lopez Crespo/ Toni Lopez Alexander Beloglazov/ Belaglazov Marc/Birky Jacobs
228 matches now. max and min still the same. Average down to 605. 49 people with 1000+ jumps since 04, 2k and 3k stay the same.
Okay, now it gets interesting. I make it 203 people who are on World Team in 06 that weren't on it in 04. Max number of jumps for the new guys is 16.500 and minimum is 620. Average is 3987
This is how the new members break down by country (assuming that I've correctly worked out who is new, of which there is no guarantee):
Code:
Country New Total Percentage ========================================== USA 59 147 39.6 Russia 43 54 79.6 UK 12 34 35.3 Norway 11 16 68.8 France 9 25 36.0 Australia 7 11 63.6 Germany 7 33 21.2 The Netherlands 6 12 50.0 Canada 5 11 45.5 Denmark 5 8 62.5 Finland 5 5 100.0 Mexico 5 5 100.0 Sweden 5 15 33.3 Belgium 3 15 20.0 Austria 2 6 33.3 Brazil 2 2 100.0 Italy 2 11 18.2 Japan 2 3 66.7 South Africa 2 4 50.0 Switzerland 2 6 33.3 Thailand 2 5 40.0 Ukraine 2 2 100.0 Argentina 1 1 100.0 Indonesia 1 1 100.0 New Zealand 1 1 100.0 Singapore 1 1 100.0 Peru 0 1 0.0 Spain 0 2 0.0 ========================================= Total 202 439 45.6
Hmm, missing 1 new person from my last post :-S
Edit: I'm sure you will all be pleased to hear that I'm off down the pub now so you won't see anymore stats from me, well, for about 12 hours, at least!
