good book?
Can't Post
Could someone recommend a good book on skydiving history? Trying to figure out what I want for christmas, but its all too expensive.. so I figured out a book could be nice. :)
"The Wild, Wonderful World of Parachutes and Parachuting". If nothing else the pictures are worth it. It has stills of a guy with a main /reserve entanglement being caught in a packing mat. It also has pictures of Kittinger's jump. It also has a picture of a main entangled with the tail and airplane and jumper landing under the jumpers reserve. It has lots of that sort of things. It is out of print but Amazon got me a copy.
Endless Fall is my choice. Very entertaining and also informative about skydiving's early days. I have lots of skydiving books but Mike Swain's book is probably my favorite.
