Last time I checked, PD was charging about $100 per replacement cell. Standard procedure is to replaced damaged cells, plus one more, because there might be some hidden damage in the neighboring cell. So plan on spending $300+ to repair your Sabre 2.

I've done it and it's a real chore. What you describe, as mentioned, would best be repaired by PD. $300.00 or that neighborhood is a very good price! For example, a friend of mine was involved in a mid-air collision with another jumper. The result, was 2-end cells, a stabaliser and a C-D line. He sent it to PD and they had it back in about 2 - 3 weeks and the cost, including shipping was about $450.00. His parachute, was Saber - 1, 190. If, the parachute you mention is in good to excellent condition, I'd send it to PD.

We did a wonderful MrBill last week, so this weekend we wanted to do it again with a camera.
The plane is a Cesna, I face the wind and I'm the one who deploy. At the exit I throw the Pilot chute but nothing happens until I see the PC between my legs. I tried hard to clear the pc but now it around my friend's leg. He finaly clear the pc too but it is about a 10 seconds delay ... VLAM ... many twist with a really fast spinning canopy. Cutaway, reserve ...
I didn't know that 2 cells were torn until I landed the reserve.
On the video we can see that the Pilot Chute was still colapsed, so this is the reason why the canopy was not deployed on exit ...
I learned a lot on that jump ... But now I have to pay the price because I borrowed the rig of a friend.
