Collapsed Lung??
Can't Post
I have a friend who had a collapsed lung (spontaneous pneumothorax) about 2 years ago. He had surgery to remove 5% of one lung. His doctor has cleared him to fly. I was wondering if anyone knows if skydiving could possibly cause this to happen again.
spontaneous pneumothorax are just that, spontaneous. They commonly occur in males, who are tall and fairly thin in good shape. Yes there is a chance he could have another, unlikely but just because he has had one doesn't mean that he will have another. Tell him to consult his DR ( which it sounds like he has) and go from there.
