Other than a whole bunch of coaching dives, I got my idea of hd movement from an old video in which Pat Works describes it....."Imagine you're falling down a tube.....if I wanna move, I just push off the sides of that tube, and I move". That pretty much sums it up. Use your legs for all your movements, and simply push in the opposite direction you wanna go (as if pushing off a wall) with your legs, and you'll go there. I like this explanation cuz it keeps you thinking outside the box, as opposed to "this makes me for forward, this makes me go back". Good luck, and above all HAVE FUN!
