i find that after a dive i come up with a stuffy nose. is this normal or what?

When I lived in California and jumped more frequently (10+ jumps a day (once or twice a week)) I found that I would have various issues like that.... could be from changes in pressure from the altitude.

i recently suffered from some sort of outer ear infections / jawache malaty. (i didn't see a doctor so i don't have an exact diagnosis)

i'll see if any recurrencies occur (i jumped today)



care to elaborate on the issues you experienced?

But, since you asked an actual question...yes, that can sometimes occur, especially since you haven't acclimated to rapid pressure changes.

I recommend a good OTC non-drowsy sinus med such as Sudafed or Dayquil to help keep your sinuses clear.

If it doesn't clear up on it's own though, you may need to see an ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) doc with flight physical experience.

my ears make all kinds of popping noises after i do 6-10 jumps in one day, they do it for a few days after as well. no biggie. kind of like it actually.
