Density Altitude!!!
Can't Post
Be careful out there. I got in one jump this afternoon. Well...the last time I jumped it was about 55 degrees on the ground. Today it was about 80....with 90% humidity. Whats that mean boys and girls? The air is thin!!! I did my usual 200 plus degree front riser approach. Went to double fronts for a couple seconds...let up....the canopy is diving. Still diving....still diving....Uh Oh....Dig Dig Dig....and come to a stop about 1 foot off the ground. Ruined my surf!!!! So...lesson learned. Pay attention to the Density altitude and be extra cautious when it's a major difference since the last time you jumped. Happy swooping!!!
PS....Chuck! Rodney Cruz was down here today doin some of that nasty stinkin belly flying with Nemesis...

Uh, Clay, still convinced that airspeed equals lift?
Yep...I was still producing more lift than I was before the hook. It just took longer to recover at 80 degrees than it did at 55. That density altitude is a bitch!!!
