Ethen came into our lives as a AFF jumper who did a little dance in the Turbo Let before his QJ. He became quite a character in our community and never missed an opportunity for a Joke. From dragging ourselves around the airfield in a bin bag behind the DZ bike to changing the sign on the manifest board, his love of mischief was unstoppable.
You where certainly a one off, always so positive about everything you did, and everybody you met. You will be sorely missed. Rantoul will be that little bit quieter without you Bro!
Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth And danced the skies on laughter silvered wings; Sunwards I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds- and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of.
The DZ won't be the same without you but I know you'll be with us in spirit at Rantoul. Won't forget you Ethen. Miss you.
The empty beer can is still in my car, when I close my eyes I can see the grin on your face before that static line you did last Thursday, I laugh every time I think about you walking around with your shoes on your knees pretending to be Wiggy, and yes your joke about the little aeroplanes was funny!!! All these reminders of you are here mate, and it's so difficult to accept that you are not. Even though your time was short, you shone so bright, and made all our lives richer from knowing you.
Thanks for finding the time to give the finger before keying the launch. (attached)
Blue Skies forever mate. James

His mum has asked us to fill the funeral with as many skydivers as possible, knowing the effect Ethen had on people I don’t see this as been a problem at all, but if anyone is coming from far away and needs accommodation, lifts etc send me a PM and will try and sort something out for you...
For any skydivers that can spare the time to make it to the cremation (please do if you can) it will be at Horley Crematorium, Balcombe Road, Horley, Surrey at 2:15 p.m. on Monday 26th April.Drinks at the Parsons Pig down the road after the service. Family are requesting no flowers but a donation to Ethens favourite cause instead (Dorking Nursery School) PM me if you'd like details.
Ehan said to me that if died tomorrow then he would feel happy and content because he was happy.
He was happy because he had made some deep friendships with fellow skydivers.
Skydiving was his passion and joy. He talked all the time about jumping and how it made him feel free like a bird.
I was glad to be part of his life even though it was such a short time that we had together. Our time together was so precious and full of love. When we met we connected instantly on so many different levels. We were in love and we told each other that.
He died doing something that he loved knowing that I loved him and that he had the love of his family and friends.
I believe that his spirit will always be flying above the ones that he loved.
I love you Ethan.
Your spirit will always be a part of me . Forever Until I see you again
I love the idea of wearing blue and white on Monday. Lou, are you going to streak your hair blue like you did for your Birthday?!!! Ethan was on good form that night :-)
I'm really going to miss him... But I'll never forget his cheeky grin!
Where do you start to write about someone like Ethen. So much to miss.
Will post more later, but just wanted to say I'll be driving down for the funeral from North Wales, probably on Friday to Headcorn for the weekend first. So if anyone would like a lift along the way please feel free to get in touch, even if it's out of the way I could do with the company!
I just wanted to add...Im new at Headcorn.....but Its just dawned on me that Ethan was the first person to come up and speak with me when I was hanging around, we had a laugh and joke as there was some Static Line slots going on for a new pilot training I think... ....I didnt realise it was him involved here until I have read these posts and saw his picture
All's I remember thinking is what a friendly ,funny guy he was....and I only knew him for less than a few hours

I was just looking through some posts made by Ethan on this site.....as I wanted to know a bit more about him....and found this which I think is great. I' assuming ( as ZeeMax posted previously) that this is Ethan using 'Ethan' as a username here....apologies to those who have already read this post....

18 months ago, I upgraded to Girlfriend 1.0 from Drinking Mates 4.2,which I had used for years without any trouble. However, there are apparently conflicts between these two products and the only solution was to try and run Girlfriend 1.0 with the sound turned off. To make matters worse, Girlfriend 1.0 is incompatible with several other applications, such as LadsNightOut 3.1, Football 4.5, and Playboy 6.9.
Successive versions of Girlfriend proved no better. A shareware program, Party Girl 2.1, which I tried, had many bugs and left a virus in my system, forcing me to shut down completely for several weeks. Eventually,I tried to run Girlfriend 1.2 and Girlfriend 1.0 at the same time, only to discover that when these two systems detected each other, they caused severe damage to my hardware.
I then upgraded to Fiancee 1.0, only to discover that this product soon had to be upgraded further to Wife 1.0. While Wife 1.0 tends to use up all my available resources, it does come bundled with FreeSexPlus and Cleanhouse2002. Shortly after this upgrade, however, I found that Wife 1.0 could be very unstable and costly to run. Any mistakes I made were automatically stored in Wife 1.0's memory and could not be deleted. They then resurfaced months later when I had forgotten about them. Wife 1.0 also has an automatic Diary, Explorer and E-mail Filter, and can, without warning, Launch TurboStrop and Whinge.
These latter products have no Help files, and I have to try to guess what the problem is. Additional problems are that Wife 1.0 needs updating regularly, requiring ShoeShopBrowser for new attachments and Hairstyle Express which needs to be reinstalled every other week. Wife 1.0 also spawns unwelcome child processes that drain my resources. These conflict with some of the new games I wanted to try out, warning me that they are an illegal operation. Also, when Wife 1.0 attaches itself to my Audi TT hard drive, it often crashes. Wife 1.0 also comes with a rather annoying pop-up called Mother-In-Law, which can't be turned off.
Recently I've been tempted to install Mistress 2003, but there could be problems. A friend of mine has alerted me to the fact that if Wife 1.0 detects Mistress 2003, it tends to delete all of your Money files before uninstalling itself.
Any ideas?
You think you have problems!

It's nice to know you are thinking of us. We had the funeral today (Monday), so many people turned up, it was standing room only at the back. A great testament to Ethans popularity.
