Pack volume Can't Post

Who knows what is the pack volume of a xaos-21 88 , if manufacturers posted this in their sites would be much easier.

Dude, it's very possible the manufacturer hasn't even measured it.

Why? Because it doesn't matter. You should be asking qualified riggers and people in the industry, like the manufacturer if it will fit where you want it.

The big secret? No one measures pack volume the same way under the same conditions so comparisons are vauge at best.

Ditto.

Your best bet is to call the manufacturer of the rig you plan to put it in, and ask them if it will fit. Back that up with testimonials from jumpers who have actually packed that canopy in that size container (you can get that here in the forums), and you will have made an informed decision.

As are the rest of us.

For a rule of thumb, like canopies often have similar pack volumes, and that usually gets you the answer. For example most of the 21 cell canopies pack about the same. (Velocity, FX, Xaos 21)

Don't use the pack volume numbers to decide what will fit where, as they won't match up. Just ask if it will fit in a particular size.

Only trust volume numbers published by container manufacturers.

I assume you are still wondering whether your Xaos will fit in a Voodoo 00. The short answer is yes, just like I told you in the last thread Tongue

A dude at my DZ has a Velocity 90 in a Talon FS 00, and it fits great. Your Xaos 21 88 should have a very similar pack volume to his Velocity. As for the container, according to RIs website, the 00 FS and 00 V2 have the same main pack volume of 275.
