Well, here it is. I had planned on posting this early just to piss off Skymama but the professionalism in my procrastination got the best of me. Everyone has to be good at something.
That's right kids. Ten years for the event and our 5th year in Fitzgerald. It's been quite a ride. I wish I could tell you that all the planning was in place and I could tell you all about it, (Please see first paragraph) but this is what I got so far. I'm hoping for help from Skymama for any needed updates because we love her and she is the bestest moderator ever.
So far we have a Super Otter from Skydive Spaceland and the Blackhawk Grand Caravan(850 hp)from Skydive the Farm. I have a King Air lined up as a third aircraft. We have the helicopter coming back from last year and I have a hot air balloon lined up with the option of 8 jumper slots if we have the need. I will once again be pre-booking balloon slots to make sure there is enough interest. I can accept credit cards for pre-boogie booking.
We have the boogie for those that want to be there not those that have to be paid to participate. Once again we will have organizers there for many skill levels and most disciplines but you won't see any big name organizers there. I take flack for this from some people but it's worked great for many years now.
I haven't verified everyone yet but I would expect most of our past organizers back. Fortson Rumble is doing a POPs record on Friday and then a short 10way comp for Sat.
Jeff Guy(Team Dirty Sanchez),Bruce Crawford, and others with small group RW. Rick Ream with the Muff Brothers.
Sunman and others will be FF organizing (I put others because they are unverified) If you have some you think might want to organize put them in touch with me.
Bill Killillay will be organizing the wingsuits and I believe they might do another Ga. State Record. Speak up if anyone is coming to do CReW.
Cyndi Brown with Dirty Pirate Hooker jumps. And I think the DPH will once again be helping you find an organizer if you are look for them.
The pond is available for swooping. You'll have to ask someone who's been in it what the temp is in March.
Tandems will be available so bring your friends to make a jump and to stay for the party.
As always, nightly bonfires, stupid human tricks and skydiver entertainment leading up to the Saturday night St.Patricks themed (unofficial) costume party. Live band and an entertainment idea that I'm working on that will be worth all the effort of getting there. I can guarantee you've never seen anything like this,ever.
EDIT to add; Private/Group packing tents will be available again. Contact me or see into in the forums at RoamingOutdoors.com. I also have boogie shirts left from several years if you would like to help a brotha out with pre-boogie expenses. I can accept credit card for those and pre-boogie balloon booking.
Pricing will be added here as everything is finalized. Everything should stay pretty much in line with last year.
Edit: OK, kids. I'm ready to start accepting reservation for private group tents and balloon jump slots. I can accept checks by mail, paypal with fees added or credit cards by phone (or e-mail but figure most people won't want to put cc info in an e-mail)
It's important as in past years that I can show the balloon pilot that coming to the event will be worth his while. More so this year with having to find a new balloon company. I will need to get the balloon slots booked and paid as in the past. A slot in the balloon is $95.
A 15x15 private tent is $150. 20x30 is $300. Other sizes available. I do not make any money on the tents. This is cost plus tax.

I'll re-post the pic on the facebook event page and you can let me know your size. $15 for last years, $12 for other years and $10 for a second shirt. It would really help us to get rid of some of these.

I'm glad to be back with my side kick Jack Donovan to organize the Georgia POPs record.
The big boss (Chris) just told me that we have more lift capacity than I knew, if you one of my regular jumpers that have fallen between the cracks contact me if you’re looking for a slot on the Georgia POPs record. We will be going for at least two points and the team is VERY strong, I think a lot of people will be doing something on the second point that will be a FIRST. (Hint, hint)
Also, all records a meant to be broke, but I plan on this being my last Georgia POPs record event so I'm shooting for it to be the best, come on out and help.

What a lame list (not the people on it, just the low number of people). There are over 100 people "attending" according to Facebook and we can only muster up 8 people here???? LAME! Guess FB killed dz.com.

I wouldn't do that to anyone (the sign part...well, and the letting you give directions part) :-) But if y'all wanna help me keep an eye on the RVs as they check in that would be great. Other than there being a few sites reserved and making sure people know to set up so they can share a site if needed there isn't much to it.

Well technically it would not be my first boogie but I was just completing my " A" requirements during the first one and did my "A" hop and pop about the end of it. That will make that boogie an annual event for me plus it's my home DZ. Beer money!!! Oh I'll bring lots of beer ( not green though ) if we get to go and maybe some special local blend in mason jars!!!!! Hopefully work load will allow. Like to meet a lot a you folks.

Not drinking a lot. But have been drinking Dogfish Head IPAs and mostly hoppy IPAs. Will probably be on a slow steady dose of Bloody Marys at the boogie. Seem to level out my mood. Good vodka or Zing Zag Bloody Mary mix would be good. After people taste mine I usually end up giving one away.

I will be there, as always, never miss it! I will be packing my brains out, so if anyone needs a packer, I'll be happy to help you. There will also be at least 2 more packers from Skydive the Farm (same 3 every year) and I'm certain that there will be others from other DZ's as well. I'm planning to head to this Boogie from Charleston SC and had a question, as this would be the first one I attend...hope you like High Life by the way. Anyway, my question was if we have to pay or schedule stuff upfront other than balloon jumps and tents etc. Or do I just show up and jump, w/ the obvious logbook repack card along with me. Thanks.

Time is growing short. If you sent a message saying you wanted a balloon slot and never bothered to pay for the slot you need to step up to the plate. The arrival of the balloon will be adjusted for the amount of flying he expects to do, he doesn't want to just sit around. Pre-paid slots get priority.
Also, I need to hear from the Canadians, I think they wanted a private tent and I need to confirm the size and arrange payment.
The Dirty Pirate Hookers are working on raffle items. someone came up with the idea for a costume contest and also a campsite/packing area decoration contest.
Looks like the numbers for this year are going to be strong. Come take a look at the facebook event page when you get a chance.
If you have a minute, find my post in the bonfire and vote for our picture to help me win an intercom system that I can use for manifest at the boogie.

It's time for my annual Public Service Announcement.
When coming to Fitz. please keep in mind that this is not a year round operational DZ. If you need it, bring it. A lot of time people take for granted things like rubber bands for their D-bag or pull up cords (which Para Gear or Chutingstar probably sent). Think about what you need that you might not be able to find locally.
If you brought it with you take it when you leave or make sure it's in a designated trash pile. I don't want your broken useless shit. Your mama don't work there so clean up after yourself. This includes beer cans and bottles on an ongoing basis. There are trash cans everywhere, please use them and maybe even think about either thanking the volunteers that empty them or maybe helping to do one or two yourself.
This is a cash event. We have no way to process credit card on site and I have no intention of taking a bunch of out of state checks. Either bring cash or research where the closest ATMs are.
Go to your bank and ask them for $2 bills. Yes they still have them. Come to registration and stamp them with our little parachute rubber stamp and spend them in town. It lets the locals know you are spending money in their town.
Don't act like an asshole in town. This is a small town with alot of people not used to seeing skydivers in their stores and restaurants. Have a good time but but try to be respectful to the people that live there. Example: Try not to use the F-Bomb in the middle of China-Mart.
Don't be the guy who fucks it up for everyone else. When you are about to do something, whether skydiving related or other wise, ask yourself if you would do or be allowed to do it at your home DZ. Don't be afraid to call someone out for doing stupid shit or bring it to someones attention.
To my knowledge there has never been a skydiver arrested at or near any of my events. This despite the City of Dublin targeting us for traffic stops and the asshole that decided to drive on the runway in St.Marys not once, not twice but three times in a car that he "borrowed" from someone and grove on a revoked license. The local police a firm on the speed limits in and around town. They are also highly aware of the amount of alcohol consumed after hours at this event. If you get arrested it's not because they are picking on us, it's because you deserve it. Don't call me, I'm not getting you out.
I'm sure I'll think of more but this will give some people something to pick apart.

This boogie is the best kept boogie secret out there. Everyone just comes and has a blast (other than a few locals) It is such a perfect set up for jumping. I don't think I've missed one of the 10.
Thanks to the 35 other people that made knocking off the new Ga POP's record so easy - first attempt. Doesn't get much better than that.
