Last summer was my first time at Lost Prairie and it was such a fantastic boogie. Awesome free coaching from Arizona Arsenal--and I loved jumping with Mad John so much that I followed him to Nicaragua and onto the infamous "Wet Spot" load. So I really do have to go back to LP to purge those watery memories and get my bird canopy back up in that blue Big Sky.

Yeah - and I am still in mourning. I had the time zones calculated, SkyMama's bedtime estimated, and was all set to eke out a few extra hours for our beloved boogie, when alas, red wine stole my best laid plans, and travelguru lamely posted on time. (watch your back, spoon!!)

Mark ,Dave and I will be there for sure.
Last year was amazing. We where located 5 steps from the landing area so the time in between jumps was really minimum. I was doing about 10 jumps a day. When we got low clouds we start doing 2 for 1 6000' hop and pops.
I know about 14 organizers are going to be there, Airspeed and Arizona Arsenal being a few of them.

98 days: 19 hours: 34 minutes until my flight takes off for the left side of the country. Why is it taking so long to get here?!?!?!?!?! At least the countdown is finally down to the double digits.

Would be good to then chat to the DZO and events manager if those are concerns you feel need to be addressed, and doing so only after you, yourself have maybe had a chat to the individuals.

Crap i should have thought of that before.... the spousal visa has even tighter conditions than the one i am applying for. I chose LP over NZ because for the next few years i won't be able to take extended holidays as the time out of the country won't count towards my 2 year residency requirement. So before those conditions take effect im going to spend a few months in Canada and the states.

They will do full briefings, shoot video of all skydives and debrief video burn you a DVD of jump and answer any and all questions on body flying. They will also be giving away free tunnel time during the boogie and have discounts available for extended tunnel use. To date I have confirmation that Aerodyne will have a booth set up for demoing their gear and Rigging Innovations will be here showing off the new VooDoo!!

Not to mention it gets downright expensive for that many repacks on reserves.. it seems people who were gung ho to jump and wanted to borrow the gear forget about that part of the deal. SOOOOOO unless some wonderful rigger helps out, it can get pretty spendy to provide "friends" with the old gear... but that only happened a couple times.
I should just sell off all my old gear I used for the water jumps.. it was just not worth all the hassles

Unfortunately I have to cancel my trip to the LP boogie this summer, due to medical reasons. I had reserved 6 nights at the Lodge at McGregor Lake and that room is now AVAILABLE! There are only 5 rooms there so if you want to stay there call Carolyn right away and grab my room! Also this would help me out a LOT since I can't get my deposit back unless the room gets filled! :) Please pass the word on! The price is terrific and the comfortable bed/hot shower is a great luxury, only a couple of minutes from the DZ!

Montana State Records:
Since USPA has no listings for any records from Montana, We are declaring Wednesday, August 8th to be Montana State Record Day. We'll be doing belly, freefly, wingsuit and possibly CRW records.
Vadar Other ways to stay warm: Option1 Find a warm person to "sleep" next to Option2 Drink more (leads to Option1)
option 3 Complete option one, then continue with option 2 until you forget which tent option 1 was in, stand naked by the fire to stay warm because you have no idea where your pants are, find someone else to keep you warm for the night just as option 1 returns with your pants, suggest it would be even warmer with 3. Complete option 3 :)

Anybody have any insight regarding the likley availability of packers? Last I checked, Coop was uncertain about his attendance. I planted the seed with "The Packing Place", but they sound pretty occuppied with the family drop zone. I ask because packing is hard on us old guys.
