Another link to a news story on the same website by the canadian society of cinematographers, shows John DeVore with the belly camera. The camera pic caption reads:
"Sky grip Claude Fortine rigging on Arri 235 system on Jon DeVare of the Red Bull Skydive Team in preparation for a jump in Human Flight 3D. The red hand under his chin is to jettison the entire camera system by parachute landing."
Since they misspelled John's name, I assume the comment about the "red hand[le] under the chin" is actually to jettison the camera without a parachute landing. Can anyone comment on the setup in that pic?

that movie is still not out, or is it?
Was supposed to be released September 30, 2011 ended up never showing or ever having been released. They never gave another approximation showing date either which I find awkward.
Anyone know the reason behind it not being released?

Seriously? If so, that's some bad luck - hit with lawsuits over this AND the Stratos project simultaneously.
Regardless, they've done a really poor job relating to their fans throughout this. The Human Flight facebook wall is nothing but pages of fans asking what is going on - with not one response from Red Bull.

Just to make everyone aware there are many fake downloads of this roaming around "2012 Bluerey" most of em state I finally found one that did not want me to pay for the download service first, how ever it did try to make the free service so painful it would be considered. after getting the first part down it was some other random movie. Just for everyone to know don't waste your time the only reason the name is out there is to sucker people, and there are probably quite a few viruses in it as well. My recommendation would be stick to coffee. Coffe is the classic energy drink that can be enjoyed in a number of forms hot or cold, has a well documented history of side effects, and has never made a promise of a move that we were all anxious to pay money for regardless of the lack of substance as a story, an after thought romance intrest, and multiple release date delays.
All that said when I look at face book and see 11000 likes and compair it to the 14.6M like for Transformers I start to think someone said "we are not going to be able to pay the the shipping the the theaters let alone that sweet vacation to norway or the 20,000 jumps, or the Otter loads with 4 people, or the equipment rental... F it lets go skydive"

i still want to see that movie even porn actors could have done a better job. My guess is the delay was because of the deaths of one or two of the jumpers that were in the movie.( I am not completely sure that is true) Even with the low likes in face book i find it hard to believe that it would not be released in some format to recover some of the costs of making the movie.
Unfortunately, the movie you linked to is about 8-10 years old, and has nothing to do with the movie that's being discussed here (Red Bull's "Human Flight 3D").

Will believe it when I see it. It was "supposed" to be out a few times before. There will probably be a few cool scenes but i'm sure the acting and plot will be pretty lame.
