There are alot of things still in the works so please bear with me.I will start additional topic threads for certain areas of information at RoamingDZ.com to make it easier to find(hotels,camping,big way,4-way and such).You can also find info in the threads from last year at the bottom of the forum page at RoamingDZ.com.Please look for information before e-mailing or PMing me.
As I am completely unorganized right now this post will be edited as more info becomes available.
Thats right kids we're going back for a fourth year.Amazing after the car burning incident.The aircraft lineup is as follows.The Super Kingair from Skydive Atlanta will start out the lineup mid week.If there are people there we will start flying on Wednesday.Next to show will be a Super Otter from Cross Keys on Thursday afternoon with the Skyvan from Skydive Deland showing on Friday (I received word on March 6th that the Skyvan would not be coming to the event.) A second Super Otter from Skydive Spaceland will be arriving on Thursday afternoon. Sorry,no Casas were available.
The chopper will be returning and the balloons will be back also.Nightly entertainment will be announced and we have found an awesome source for firewood so the bonfire will be legendary.We will be operating RoamingDZ Radio again this year so you will be able to tune into manifest anywhere on the airport and as far away as Wal-Mart.
Obviously we will be offering tandems.The tandems will be handled by JR sides and his wife Kathy from Skydive Chambersburg.Their contact info is at SkydiveDublin.com if you have someone wanting to do a tandem or you are a tandem master wanting to work.We will also offer AFF and supervision for people with lower jump numbers.
Food again this year will be provided by Scotty and Tammi of The Carbone Zone along with the local E.A.A. chapter serving burgers and hot dogs during the day.
The whole organizing thing is still up in the air right now.I have some things working but I'd rather wait to post.I hope to make the organizers easier to find this year.Be on the lookout for raft dives,hoop dives,big ways,SCRs,maybe even some of Andys mystery dives.I'm sure you can find a way to amuse yourselves.

I'll get Eric Deren to post info on this.

Oh,one more thing.Daylight savings time starts on March 11 this year.So the days will be longer for the boogie this year.Yes,the RoamingDZ has that mush clout. Now back to your regularly scheduled programing.

Ok,talked to the hotel today.Seems people are getting a little greedy.Best The Best Western would do this year is $64 a night which is about what Psycho Bob posted the other day for the Ramada Inn.The address is 2121 S.Highway 441.Phone number is 478-275-2650.I would make reservations now.Please mention the skydiver rate when you call or you might not get a room.They blocked us 50 rooms.We can block more if those fill up.Again I say Make Your Reservations Now!!!!

I got a room at the Ramada Inn Limited for $65.00 a night. There are several hotels (Days Inn, Hampton, Super 8, etc.)around the Interstate exit (about 5 miles from the airport).

If I could find a pickup team for the 4-way meet on Saturday, that would definitely tip the scales in favor of Dublin. I fly the “point” position. Anyone interested in competing with me?

I just looked at my schedule and it appears that comencement is on the 22nd, finals finish on the 15th... so depending on leave policy for that weekend I might be able to make it...

Everyone after a long tedious weekend of negotiations I closed a deal late yesterday for Bob Hollar to return to Dublin this year to organize.He will be arriving late on Friday and be ready to go Saturday morning.Plan to arive on Friday,make a few jumps with Carl and be ready to go sat. morning.Possibility for another surprise guest.
I'd like to remind everyone there will be other organizers there working with smaller groups so if your not ready for the type and size skydives Bob and Carl will be doing there will be someone there for you.I also plan to have Bob and Carl working closely with the other organizers so we can get people in the groups they should be in.
Oh,and it was determinded this weekend at the RoamingDZ compound by a group of long time skydiving professionals that they will no longer be known as freefliers or head downers.The new term to describe that discipline is Butt-uppers

Hey Chris, Can't wait to see ya in March. We get extra daylight and everything. YEA!! You will love this I headed south for warmer temps. Well I am currently in Eloy hanging out with the Canadians and Alaskans the temps have been in the teens for the last several days and only getting into the 50's in the day. Heck it was -2 in Flagstaff yesterday. Meanwhile back in PA it has been in the 70's. HA HA

Just as an aside guys Dublin is a big draw that weekend for the Harley motorcycle crowd as well so rooms may be tight if you wait.
Last year I took my suitcase with Sat morning in case I didn't make it back (don't want a DUI, ya know) and upon my return same night I found the fockers rented my room out again, probably at a higher rate even though I was reserved and checked in for the whole weekend.

ADDED---I got the new guy on shift tonight.....plenty of rooms, I requested the skydiver rate the first time but when I called back to clarify I had to mention "CHRIS SPENCE" to get one the blocked rooms!!

Why yes, they most certainly are. Although I just say that I think they've reached the end of their life expectancy. I'd LOVE to get my hands on some of those ones that make the entire visible eye black. Perhaps we can PM regarding the pros and cons of those.
Where can I find a price listing of jumps for the boogie so I can get the cash in order?

My white outs are an old RX and my pupils are bigger than the lens pupils, so the white halo drives me insane.
The ones that turn your whole eye black are scleral lenses, expensive and uncomfortable and not healthy. You couldn't pay me enough to put one of those suckers in my eyes

I booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express. The AAA rates there are only about $2 more than the skydiver rate at the Best Western. They have the interior hallways whereas the Best Western doors open to the outside. I always feel a little safer that way, so I'm just letting the other women know about that hotel.
I'm sure someone will post a link showing me that my theory is totally unfounded.
