I have never experienced such a terrible day! I have no idea how they stay in business with the way they treat people and go about their daily operations. They have no respect for anybody who walks through those doors. I would never recommend anyone to go there. There are plenty of quality dive operations in the area, go anywhere but here.

Go here to be INSULTED and have a HORRIBLE experience and to fear for your life

I was told directly by an immediate family member of the treatment that they received here (that person does not use the internet) so I am writing a review on their behalf.
I have coordinated sky dive first time tandem jumps at another facility for over 30 people before and I know professional service and this place is exactly the opposite. My previous experiences were fun and this place was apparently geared around frustrating and intimidating customers.
This place INSULTED my family as well as being so unprofessional that I felt compelled to write a review to potentially help someone to avoid a horrible experience. I would never wish this experience on someone who was going to learn to skydive.
The staff was arrogant and the owner was worse. My family was not given any instruction at first except two videos - a legal disclaimer and a completely irrelevant promotional video showing skydiver formations - then after waiting for an hour for anyone else to even give a clue of what was going on the person who was supposed to have my family member's life in his hands (the tandem partner for my family member) insulted my family member when he my family member said he didn't receive any training. Then when the disgruntled employee reluctantly decided to do some training and my family member didn't exactly understand the direction given for "training" the employee insulted my family member by grabbing his arms, yelling "I said in your peripheral vision!" and placing then in a different direction. The employee later made some intimidating comments laced with bad language and vulgar suggestions. The training was given in some back room with no one else around that added to the general intimidation that my family member felt from this employee. My family sat for 3 hours and when they asked about the weather the owner answered with the flippant and irrational comments "I am not God and can't predict the weather but some day I will be" given in a condescending tone. (really what rational person says this to a customer?) My family asked for their money back and instead the owner said that "I know why you don't want to go...you are afraid to jump." Could you be more insulting? Here is a hint for the owner...no they don't want to go because anyone who is going to put their lives in your hands doesn't trust you and rightfully so.
My family did get their money back when the owner tossed the money at them and some of it fell on the ground so this review isn't about money. This review is about helping others to avoid a scary experience.
I would be more than happy to PERSONALLY give my opinion of this place and/or put you in touch with my family members that had this experience. Email me at bhahlen@gmail.com or call me at 646 351-2476 and I will be more than happy to email you more information. The fact that I am willing to give my contact information out on the internet should be proof that these claims have validity. If this comment is deleted then this isn't a real review site because the best businesses should welcome bad as well as good comments. My guess is that this place will not last long as it does not sound as if the owner has the personality that would enable him to run a service business.

The DZ sticks out pretty well at 10-12k atl. The dropzone seems to be the biggest piece of property for this small town. Though if you miss the DZ for landing, no worries, they'll come pick you up in a flash. This DZ Cares!
From spectators to the experts. You visit once here, you will come back again, again and again no matter where you live in the world.

I arrived at the DZ with only 9 jumps and a strong desire to learn. The CPC folks gave me a spot to camp for the whole summer and have really made me feel like family. The staff is friendly and helpful. The DZO always checks my gear, even if I am just walking by, which really makes me feel well looked after. As a student, I know the staff communicates amongst themselves to keep a constant eye on me.
This is one of the oldest parachuting centers in the country and the DZ is beautiful, quaint and meticulously taken care of. The airplanes are given the same TLC. The landing area is huge compared to some DZ's I've been to and is fun to land in and easy to spot from the air. It's in Amish country, so you can swoop the buggies and get fresh baked cookies and homemade bread from your neighbor's yard sale.
Even if it's slow on a weekday, the staff makes sure I get up on every load that goes up if I am on the property. The recent boogie was great, with a Casa and Otter and awesome fireworks at night.
There is a great mix of younger and more experienced skydivers, all of whom have welcomed me into the sport and shared their time, coaching and equipment. The "virtual reality" trainer is very cool and surprisingly effective for conditioning good reaction to a variety of emergencies and unique circumstances.
Overall, I get a great, relaxed vibe that feels like home.

I have been to the Cleveland Parachute Center a couple of times. The people are very nice and friendly. The DZO is a great guy and all the instructors that I met were great people. The landing area is HUGE and very accomdating. The whole place is just a nice place to visit, and a great place to jump. The Amish will sometimes come out to watch which is cool.

Took that tandem risk and ended up going to AFF school and just did my 1st solo.
There's some salty jumpers around there who always managed to say the right thing at the right time. The training was right on ( I'm still here to write this )
The Amish like to come out and watch sometimes so the the roads have horse dung
to dodge. The stars can be beautiful at the summer weekend night campfires.
Easygoing and pretty freindly is the I found it.
And a few hard jumpers here and there.
And Mike will cook you somthing just about any time ( If he's not jumping )at the food shack.

fun fun fun!
Cons:
funky winds?!
The people @ this DZ ROCK! Not only are they inviting and energetic, but they are extremely helpful. When i showed up needing a small main canopy to jump, the DZO's daughter offered me her entire rig to jump for the weekend...
Caught some funky winds off the treetops in the areas, but nothing seriously scary. Overall, the DZ had awesome vibes (and good food)!

I enjoy jumping at many different drop zones around the country and this one is one of my favorites.
The atmosphere is wonderful. The people are very friendly and welcome visitors like an old friend.
