The time I have spent at Skydive Snohomish has always been amazing. I look forward to going there every chance I get. Tyson and the staff are very helpful and willing to work with you any chance they get. No question goes unanswered. They made the experiance that much more awesome by their energetic attitudes. I can't wait until the weather gets better so I can be there all the time!

I had roughly 37 military and 3 civilian jumps when I showed up at snohomish. I was treated like I was an inconvenience to the staff when asking questions. It was even said that they don't know if they can trust me jumping, even though I had an A license. Needless to say I didn't jump, and that's why Kapowsin is getting my money pretty often. Out of the 5 or so DZ's I've been to, this one was the worst.

I am military Halo qualified. I did not have an A license when I went in to the dz. I did have 51 jumps on my logbook, 4 night jumps, water training, numerous jumps with over 60 lbs of equipment, rifle, and oxygen. Tyson said I would have to go through a program designed by him (to get more money out of me) to get my A license signed off. His program consisted of like 4-5 coaching jumps. That is BS. I went to Kapowsin and got my stuff signed off and was jumping the next lift solo with my friend. Also when I walked in it seemed like the Misfit Island from Rudolph. I think I even saw a train with square wheels on its caboose.

Great location but the DZO is so focused on sucking money out of tandems and students that he neglects experienced jumpers and does a lot of questionable things. He will demand more jumps for a requal than USPA requires. He has been known to tell people they "should" make repeated tandem jumps before they start a student license, and in general has an "opportunistic" attitude toward taking money from customers. I left my reserve for a repack and a week later (with no call it was right in the back of the room where I left it !) The excuse was the rigger was sick but I specifically said I needed it for an upcoming boogie and was assured it would be OK. No call, no help, no remorse. I would never buy gear or spend money here. The DZO - Tyson - is not honest.

I have straggled my way through several different student programs on my way to getting an A license. In the process, I've participated in student programs in 4 different DZs. When I first came to Snohomish, I was discouraged to find out they did static line progression instead of AFF.

After doing a few jumps though, I have to say this program is the best I've participated in. The difference is that they pay attention to the students progress. They give you real experience spotting, and you don't have to beg to learn to pack.

In my experience, a lot of DZs make you beg for personal attention. Not here. They really focus on you're progression, and they are very organized. I highly recommend this DZ to any student skydiver.

We are moving up that way and jumping at local dropzones was part of the scouting trip we just made.

They were busy with tandems and students but they sent an 18 place Caravan up with just six of us to keep the flow going.

The DZO, Tyson, made a point of welcoming us as we did the paper work, and his wife, Elaine, was great on the manifest microphone, herding cats with gentle persuasion.

A couple people have mentioned the lack of experienced jumpers, but raising a few crops of students up to be experienced jumpers is a fun thing to do, so if it's true I see that as an advantage.

I'm looking forward to jumping there.

Well, coming from Colorado where I thought we had a lock on great scenery, was I suprised! Both Mt. Baker and Rainer like ice cream cones in the sky, beautiful ocean views, Pugent Sound, etc. were more than impressive. The DZ is mostly outside and very friendly, and I was warmly welcomed by the owners, Tyson and Elaine. The DZ alternates tandem loads with fun jumpers, and we went on a load with only 6 fun jumpers in an 18-seater Grand Caravan!! Wow was that a fast ride to altitude!

Needless to say, I will return. Thank you Skydive Snohomish for a lovely day in the sky!
