Nicest people that one can associate with.

This is the dropzone that I started at so I don't have experience with very many others. But in my opinion it is the people that can make or break the experience. It's hard to imagine a friendlier staff. Even from day one you can tell that it will be pleasant.

First time at different DZ

This was my first time jumping at a different DZ from the operation where I trained. I was made to feel very comfortable and when I was done jumping I wanted to stay and chat, that is always a good sign. I see some people call the one 182 a con, but I disagree. You know the equipment going in so you can't expect it to be a "big" jump number day. I will say that I jumped twice, and was not solo on either jump. The DZO and regular jumpers went out of their way to make it fun for me. Granted the initial attention was probably due in part to wanting to make sure I was safe with my huge experience of getting my "A" two weeks ago, but that is a positive too....

All in all I will be making many jumps in Goshen in the future.

Had my first visit to Goshen this weekend. Since my regular dz is a huge operation with their own airport and 2 Otters, I knew this would be a change. I have to say, I really enjoyed jumping here. The dzo's are such great people, and the rest of the staff were wonderful. The vibe was so laid back, it was great. Obviously with only 1 C-182, you are not going to get in a ton of jumps when you come here. But the plane is well maintained and comfortable. The landing area is big and the personal pickup service is great! The packing area is carpeted, and they have riggers. They have good equipment for rent and for sale. During the downtime, they have some comfy couches to sit on and a tv and stereo system. It was nice to only have 3 other people on my load -- very personal and not so assembly line like at bigger dz's. If you want to come somewhere to meet some really nice people, do a few fun jumps from a Cessna, and hang out and exchange stories, then you should check this place out. Also, they are getting a new hangar built which will include restrooms, so that will be a welcome addition.

Wonderful place for students. Experienced people may want to jump elsewhere.

It is a nice dropzone. Moves kind of slow because of the one cessna. But for only having one they move it fast.

Not a lot to do during the down time, if you are not packing or jumping there is not a lot to do.

The people are what make the dropzone. You will be greeted and treated nicely there.

First time at ISA
Rated by: NDPAINTER1 on 2003-09-21 (user profile) (user reviews)

Review of: Indiana Skydiving Academy
Pros: Friendly, great people, good equipment, clean and well kept.
Cons: No negatives.

This weekend was my first time jumping at ISA. The last time I went skydiving was in 1987. I also took a friend who had never been skydiving. Classroom training was exceptional. Our jumpmaster,Paula, was great, she really took the edge off. The facilities were great, clean, neat, and organized. ISA is a great place for new and experienced skydivers.

Indiana Skydiving Academy
Rated by: Kramer on 2003-07-19 (user profile) (user reviews)

Review of: Indiana Skydiving Academy
Pros: Nice People, Good Equipment, Not Too Expensive
Cons: Long Waits, One Plane, Understaffed

I made my first skydive at ISA today. I can say that overall, I was pleased with the facility. Everything was perfectly fine, except for some long waits due to the fact that they only have one plane.

They are slightly understaffed I thought...but the people who do work there are great, and very fun to be around.

I would recommend ISA in a second, just don't expect it to be the best DZ you ever go to in your life, that's all.
