These people never answer their phone!Their location is 40 mi. from where they say they are-at a different airport! If you're not there for a tandem you are wasting your time. Up jumpers, do yourself a favor--look for another place. No rigger on site.

I started my skydiving adventure at the Kentucky Skydiving Center back in April. I must say that the friendliness and professionalism of the owners Elizbeth and Murl are unsurpassed by anyone. I am a new student and they are very accomodating to my needs and have made me feel very welcome. Even with some of the setbacks that come with training they have been very helpful in overcoming these obstacles. I would highly recommend this DZ to anybody that wants to try skydiving!

Review of: Kentucky Skydiving Center
Pros: Excellent staff, Great view of KY river, friendly staff and local jumpers!
Cons: None

Great place to skydive! Down-to-earth and friendly staff. Safe and responsible dropzone located at a state owned and operated airfield. Student gear is in excellent and well-maintained condition. Popular DZ on the weekends with quite a few college students (UK) and quite a few locals coming out to do 1st time tandems and static-line jumps. All-in-all, this is one of the best dropzones around in my opinion. Great DZ!!

Review of: Kentucky Skydiving Center
Pros: Extremely nice staff. Very well maintained airport!
Cons: No cons at all

I can only say wonderful things about this place. I had walked into one of the airport offices and asked for directions to the Skydive Center. I immediately noticed how clean the place was, and instead of being given directions, a pilot had told me he would walk me over to the area and show me where to go. I had been greeted by a wonderful lady named Elizabeth that I had known for some time. She assisted me in all of my forms, and made sure that I was thoroughly briefed with their operation, the airport layout, and any potentially hazardous areas. She made sure that any questions that I had were answered, and asked the pilot to do a pass over the landing area so I can get a good look prior to jumping out. The ride up was silky smooth, and the jumpers onboard had plenty of good conversation. If you are in this area, you really need to stop in and check this place out. I will be going back soon.

Great place to jump

Review of: Kentucky Skydiving Center
Pros: Good Atmosphere, Friendly Staff, Genuine Concern for Safety and Well-being of the Jumper
Cons: Packing Area

This is a great place to jump. I would recommend it to anyone. Although they don"t have a turbine, there is no problem getting on a load and finding someone to jump with. The dropzone is extremely accommodating to jumpers from out of town. I have never seen so much excitement when people visit from other states.
The only thing that I do not like is the packing area. I think that with the knowledge we have about the effects the sun has on canopies, it is paramount to keep them out of the sun. Covered packing is crucial!! Maybe next year. Anyway, I highly recommend this dropzone. They are much more professional with their tandems than any other dropzone I have been too. It's important for people to feel like they counted as a jumper and not just as money. This is the only place I have seen this attitude. Other dropzones can learn from this. This is the opinion I received from friend who has done tandems elsewhere. There is much room for expansion and improvement and I look forward to seeing this take place, but this is where I make my home.
