I am a jumper who came from elsewhere to experience jumping onto Lake George, Dburg does this annually. Although they meet at Duffy's Pub, they manage to make due with what they have. I was very pleased by the service they provided. Like many other places that only have cessnas, you can wait a long time for a jump, specially if they have tandams lines up (their money makers). But hey, it is the experience, which was worth the wait. It is worth the jump!!!!

I can't say enough about my experience. Did my first tandem jump with "Toggle Thom". It was awesome and I can't wait to jump again. Everyone was very accomodating. We had a group of 5 tandems and everyone was so patient, friendly and professional. Had to wait for weather to pass so we spent a lot of time with the crew. Some of the greatest people I have ever met. I would recommend DBurg to anyone at any level.

Pros: Extremely nice and professional. They step you through eveything and are able to clam you down!
Cons: Plane can only carry 4 people

I highly recommend this place to anyone just starting out or even to experienced divers. When you arrive at the location you quickly see that everyone is VERY friendly and willing to answer any questions. It was great because bad weather delayed us for a couple of hours and they were talking and watching the weather channel with us. I felt very safe with this guys and would go again.

I began to Skydive at the end of the summer at DBurg. I am working my way through a student program, despite the North Eastern weather. Every time I go to DBurg I feel welcomed and at home. Even if the weather suddenly turns and I cannot jump after my 1.5 hour drive, Bob (DZO) at least cooks an excellent dinner and shares with all!

*They taught me how to pack very early.
*There are many job ops there.
*It's a great place to hang out, even when not jumping.
*Excellent view from the DBurg Skies!
*Twinkle and Jumpin' Johnny are excellent JMs and Instructors who have lot to teach.

They are more concerned with our safety than making money.

I made my first static line jumps at Duanesburg out of their Cessna. The instructors were very knowledgeable and kept my friends and I calm. We came from Boston because at the time Duanesburg had the least expensive static line program within a reasonable drive (3 hours) from Boston. Also, there are great caves in the area (if you're into caving/spelunking). The pilot and dropzone operator let my friends and I stay in the club overnight because the weather was frequently too cloudy or windy for us students to jump -- they also included us in the dinners that they cooked. I will never forget the free industrial-size "winter storage" carrots that the dropzone operator let us eat to our hearts content! My friends and I bought union-suit (work) type jumpsuit for skydiving because that's what the instructors gave to the students to wear on the static line jumps, back then. I wonder if that has changed, yet....
