I haven't been to aggieland in a while, but the owners and management are mostly unchanged. regular fun jumpers here are very welcoming to newcomers. DZ owners are really nice.

the only thing i'd change about skydiveaggieland is the heat and the location of restrooms (far away from manifest, in another hangar). the office is air-conditioned, but there's only room for a couple of people in there. the packing area is inside the hangar but not air-conditioned. really hot in the summer! the landing area is awesome! i loved this place.

I bought a gift certificate for my husband's 67th birthday because he has wanted to do this since he saw 41 jump.
He is on cloud 59. It was an awsome experience for him and mostly because Chris and the rest of the crew was so professional and great. I felt that he was safe and secure in their hands so I had a good time too! The video is great and a wonderful remembrance of this experience. I wish everyone could hear him tell how spectacular it was. He has already bought another tandem jump and is looking forward to doing this again.

The Good: One of the best things about this dropzone is the location. It's right there is town and not off in the sticks like most other dropzones. This one was 5 minutes from my hotel and my hotel was right in the middle of town. The people were fantastic, very friendly and very willingly ready to go jump with me. Turbine plane. Nice large landing area.

The Bad: Small packing area and not open 7 days a week.

The Ugly: Long walk to the plane and an even longer walk back to the hanger.

I enjoyed Aggiland a lot and the pros far exceed the cons.

Drivin' back to Dallas from a family reunion in Houston, I decide to drive past some of the larger DZ's in the Houston area to check out Aggieland... just to check it out.

Wasn't half way through the waiver before one of the locals (TurtleSpeed) had introduced himself and invited me on a jump. When I asked about LZ obstacles and landing patterns, he did the right thing... taking out a flight planner and walking me about showing me the LZ... pointing out the various wind indicators. There are no real obstacles. The LZ is huge. A good place for night jumps I'd think.

Packing after the jump, I noticed my main bag had torn some stiches out of the bridal stop and managed to slip down the bridal to my pilot chute. 20 minutes later they had it re-stitched and ready to go... at no charge. Nice, that.

Their Beech was out of town so they put together a 2-Cesna formation load. Which, for a Otter brat such as myself, was a unique and enjoyable experience. Yep. Still owe beer for that one.

At the end of the day the beer light went on. Shiner Bock on tap at the keg cooler. Sweet.

Good jumps. Good company. Good vibe. Good DZ. I could just tell that they were genuinly concerned that I have a good time.

I'm looking forward to visiting SD Aggieland again. And I'll bring that case for the formation load when I do. (That case is always easier to bring when you know there's good folk there to drink it with).

I went to the drop zone to do a little research about skydiving to see if I wanted to pursue the sport. After talking to Todd I knew I could not wait to get into the sport. His and the staffs knowledge of the sport is outstanding and makes you fell safe about what you are about to do. The staff and all the jumpers at the drop zone make you fell like one of the regulars even though you are a student and are always willing to set down and tell you how to get better; and give you a word off encouragement. After jumping at this drop zone, the next drop zone I jump at will have some big shoes to fill.

Aggieland does a great boogie every year in tribute to the Aggies Over Texas. Great music, food, beer, organizing and a lot of fun. Extra packing tents were a plus. This was Todd's first year of operation and he and staff did a great job. Look forward to going again this year. I had never jumped there before, but was welcomed by all and felt at home.

Skydive Aggieland is an up and comming dropzone. It has a very family like atmoshpere. Anyone who shows up at the DZ is treated like an old friend. All disciplines of the sport are welcome and encouraged. Everyone loves to party and have great bar b q's. It is a very friendly dropzone full of wonderful people. I definitly recomend for anyone and everyone to come out and experience Skydive Aggieland. There is no other dropzone out there like this one.

I have recently started jumping at Skydive Aggieland and have been very impressed with the DZ. The staff here are very helpfull and the jumpers are very easy to get along with.When I first showed up I was treated like I had been a lifelong member. I made my first jump there a month ago,which happend to be my first SCR and haven't looked back. This truely is a great place to skydive.

I have only been in the sport for a year, and don't have much gear of my own, and everyone at Skydive Aggieland has been more than helpful and has gone out of their way to get me into the sky. There is a great family atmosphere and I plan on spending at least 2 weekend a month there this upcoming year. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to have a fun, safe day jumping. I was there last year for the Aggies Over Texas Memorial Boogie last year, and plan on being back to jump the Casa this year. Anyone even considering a visit should come then (every September) and you will really see what makes this DZ special!

This past weekend I finally got the chance to make it to Skydive Aggieland, which is at Coulter Field in Bryan, TX (former home to Ags Over Texas). The DZ is a nice open area with plenty of room to land if need be and the people are first rate. Although this is a new DZ and the aircraft aren't the largest and the fastest, this is definately a DZ that would be worth the drive to. The people and atmosphere are definately the best I've experienced in this part of Texas and I am looking forward to making many more jumps there.

You'll also find quite a few different disciplines each weekend at the DZ: RW, FreeFlying, Swooping and even CReW jumps are common.
