Has that small dz feel but with a mighty turbine porter. Very laid back and welcomes all from first timer to world champ. has no sky gods. But does have first class instructors with a wealth of know how. I have jumped all around the uk/us but will always be drawn back to the people and views.

Hi I'm Mikey, if you where to come to Brid we'd might meet as I pack/jump.So I kinda spend a lot of my spare time at Brid.
I first came to Brid with the 4Para (reservist - Parachute Regiment) as part of a bit of adventure training with 20 of guys all dressed in combats and boots. We spent the day completing our static line training under the supervision of Phil, Del, Chris and Simon screaming our heads off ARCHTHOUSAND!!! etc... and making a the onlookers jump. It was a real fun and entertaining day as the staff, current and former Reg lads all kicked about with the banter and even though we didn't jump that day it was a worth while experience.
Once I realised I wanted to jump and had the bug I turned to the staff and asked how a bloke with not much money could be invovled in the sport and they just said "Learn to pack" so thats what I did. So under the supervison of Olley, Joey and the CCI Ray Armstrong I became a packer. which I do to pay for my jumps which makes the training course I'm doing so much worth while.
I'v learned so much from all the wealth of exsperience at Brid from guys and they really have made me feel welcome.
If you want to get into skydiving, Brid is the place to do it and over the last few months I have gained some much just being apart of what Brid has to give.

I just visited, and I can say that the people there are friendly as hell. It’s more like a club or family atmosphere. The DZO is really nice and helpful. You can see the ocean and coast line and the landing area is huge. You have to be really trying hard to hit an obstacle on landing. (Somehow one guy did find a hedge row to land in.) If I lived there or anywhere in the UK that would definitely be my home DZ. Great place, great people. 9.5 out of 10 the .5 deduction is for the English weather. What are you waiting for… go down there!

I have visited lots of DZ's in the UK and abroad and have to say that Brid is the most welcoming and freindly by far! The facilities are second to none and the clubhouse looks trendy and clean after its refurb. Even though they operate a 206 they do a fantastic job to get jumpers in the air. What stunning views of the coastline its beautiful!! Brid has got the best hire kit i have seen and is going to be the place to be in 2007. rumour has it they are getting a turbine in the near future. What a fantastic job you guys are doing... well done

Friendliest DZ I've ever been to
Cons:
Small DZ limitations

This is certainly not the first choice DZ if you want very high quality 4/8/big way FS, or quality large FF groups etc. However, it is without doubt the friendliest DZ of some 20+ that I have visited across the world. As I want the former, I tend to stick to large DZs with quality load organising. However, every so ofen, I feel the need to head back for the one thing that ALL big DZs miss - the fantastic friendly atmosphere that you get at Brid.
They make you feel very welcome both in the bar (even if it's not packed to the walls), and bending over backwards to get you in the air, even if it means hosing themselves from the lift.

I used to love the friendly atmosphere at Brid. Since the change of owner I really hate it. Staff/ owners are really, well what can I say!!! I had a very unpleasant experience. No idea what has happened to this place, its now truely terrible. Such a shame.

We arrived on a busy weekend, but were made to feel very welcome, with everyone working super hard packing hire kit etc to get us in the air. The rigs at the centre are very nice and new and there was some demo kit available as well.
Even though there are only small planes that climb slowly you can still get in the jump numbers and a Cessna 182 and Cessna 206 were both operating when we were there. During the ride to altitude there are great views over the coast the surrounding countryside. On most of the loads altitude was 9000ft, but on two loads we got 10500ft. The landing area is huge so ideal for students / those with poor accuracy. The manifesting system was fairly laid back, but it was easy to get on a load while also easy to fill a load. DZ control were always willing to watch people do their CH2 exercises etc even though there was a charity event with 20+ tandems being conducted.
We stayed over and camped, this was a little ad hoc with no actual camping area at the time, but we were shown a bit of flat grass around the side of the centre. The showers are actually hot and well worth the £1 required.
This is a great little DZ and well worth a visit for a few fun jumps.

Skydive Brid
Pros:
Very friendly and professional
Cons:
Altitude limitation
I did my first jump here way back in 1985 and the warm welcome I got then is still evident today. The buildings are new, the facitities first class and the beer cheap - what more could you ask? The only con (such that it is) is the altitude and aircraft limitations. But I'm sure this will be rectified as soon as Nicky can get his hands on a turbine.
For a true club feel where no one is made to feel an outsider you can't get better than Brid - see you there.
