Lot's of room to grow with great management. They just need more permanent staff so they can run a bigger plane. They are doing well with what they have. I teach there on the weekends when I am free and love it. We could use some more fun jumpers but they are coming in slowly. I drive from Del Rio in order to jump at capitol because the people and the environment are both nicer then closer dropzones.

Professionalism- It doesnt matter how many jumps you have, you are treated with respect. Ive been on jumps with 2 gravity rats, and by their reactions afterwards you wouldnt think I was just another crappy 100 jump wonder, they really have a way of making people feel great about their skill and help to encourage one to continue progressing in that skill.

Vibe- No DRAMA, its great, they like and welcome anyone. No politics, no drama, no cliques.

Aircraft- Cessna 206, however this DZ has plans to upgrade in the future. One of the things I love about this place is that they will send the plane up with 2 people. If one sport jumper is there, they send a staff to go. This DZ is all about the jumping. They seem to jump everyday. If you want to go mid-week, call them to let them know your coming.

Facilities- HUGE open landing area with MILES of outs. Packing area is a nice carpeted foam mat indoors out of the heat. The womens bathroom is very clean and in great working condition. There is no resturant but there is a BBQ grill there for your use.

Services- The experience of the instructors there is amazing. They are always willing to give you tips and help. The Gravity rats jump there and from the two ive jumped with they are both amazing. Bryan got me in my first 8 pt 2 way. Also they seem to focus on the positive and go over the negative but in a way that it helps promote safer skydiving, without insulting the jumper. The way this DZ and its staff operate just really click with those trying to learn and progress.

Location- Its a bit confusing to get there because of recent road construction. use the directions on the website and youll be fine. The scenery is the standard patchwork quilt. The DZ is very easy to locate and others point it out to you on the ride to altitude. One thing that is so impressive here is that the sunsets look so different then Temple or San Marcos. My first time seeing it in freefall at Capitol I actually gasp and was in awe at just how beautiful it was. The weather has overall been great. Since the landing area is so huge and open there is little turbulance, or NO turbulance I should say.

I HIGHLY suggest checking this place out. It will change your views on "Cessna DZs" Everything that is capitol makes the 18 mins to altitude totally worth it. I find myself wanting to jump more then ever in my time in the sport. They make everyone from the tandem to the wicked experience feel at home, safe and comfortable.

I had the opportunity to go out to Capitol Skydiving and jump before it was officially open. This is going to be a great DZ!!! They are still finishing up the facility as they are not open as of yet.

Huge landing area that is obstacle free!!! Great indoor packing facility, restrooms, and more to come. Back patio is great for watching jumpers and for hanging out in the evenings.

The owners have a lot of great ideas and plans for making this facility an all around great DZ!! Very friendly, warm atmosphere!!! Had a blast while I was there!!!

Plane is a Cessna 206, which doesn't take long to get you to jumping altitude. Meanwhile you get to take in a nice view of the area.

Location is very convenient to Austin!! Don't speed through Manor though. :)

The owners are making sure that they have a relaxing, fun, convenient facility and leaving no stone unturned.

I look forward to spending many more afternoons out there after they open on July 1st. Hope to see you there!

I went to the DZ for the grand opening just to see what it was going to be like. I was pleasantly surprised to find a HUGE grass landing area with tons of outs if needed. The packing room and all the facilities are brand new. The owners are pilots (3) and two of them are also A&P's The current jump plane is a Cessna 206 and the owners were already looking to buy a turbine, probably a caravan. The vibe at the DZ was great, plenty of people to jump with whether you had 5 or 5000 jumps, belly fly or freefly. Plenty of camping space and RV slots were being built while we were there. I think this new little DZ has a bright future ahead.

This is a great new DZ, with a very bright future! It has a HUGE landing area with beautiful green grass, brand new facilities, and an awesome vibe. The owners are very friendly and open to suggestions and opinions, and are planning on doing some really cool things to the DZ. They only have a 206 for now, but have plans for a turbine in the future seem positive. It was great seeing all of my "homeless skydiver" friends having a good time, and I think we arent going to be so homeless anymore.

Well we had a small bbq this weekend and made 8 loads in thier 206 from 4pm till dark and it seemed everyone had a blast. I know I did. I watched alot of old friends start smiling and enjoying skydiving again. I feel like I have a new home dropzone again after being homeless for some time. :-)
The owners are three brothers, two of whom are pilots and are some of the nicest people I have ever met.
