Went to their opening weekend and got to jump my A#$ off. Paul really made things happen. Good for new people and experienced skydivers.

I was up at their Halloween boogie last weekend and loved the DZ. Paul and Jo really work hard to make the DZ great. Paul hopped on many of our loads just to do free video. The vibe is good, with lots of very skilled but very nice jumpers I met. The Beech they have climbs very fast, has a big door, and roomy. I really like their new location, they have a nice airport and facilities now. The landing area is very long, but a little narrow, so it might be challenging for a very low time jumper, but there are plenty of safe outs. Plus, the midwest freefly legend Jimmy jumps there, so you can actually fly with a god!
I only wish it wasn't three hours from me so I could visit more often. Definitely check them out if you are in the Kansas City area.

Having a friendly, turbine DZ less than 30 minutes from my house is like a godsend. I had almost given up on skydiving, since all of the DZ's in the area could care less about licensed jumpers, until I found this place. It doesn't matter if it is your first jump and you're paying $200 or it's your 2000th and you're only paying $20, the staff treats everyone like they're part of the family. I was recently out there on a Tuesday, when they were officially closed and they had no tandems scheduled, but it was a beautiful day and there were some fun jumpers wanting to jump. They opened up and put the Beech up all afternoon with as little as 6 people on some loads. My only regret is that my job doesn't allow me to jump more.

I've only been to the Kansas City Skydiving Center a couple of times, but every time I've visited, I've been treated like family and had a great time. Everyone there, from the staff to the fun-jumpers are extremely friendly and more than happy to jump with you. It's the kind of place I'd take my own mother to jump (not that she'd actually jump out of an airplane). I only wish they has an air-conditioned packing area for those hot midwest summer days!

Went up to KCSC for the day and had an amazing time. Everyone there has a great attitude and made the day very fun.
It's very unfortunate that the locals dislike them so much, and that's the only thing holding them down from being an amazing dropzone.

What can I say except that this place has everything going for it! They are less than 30 minutes from my house, they have had some great aircraft out there, and even their "small" plane is still bigger, carries more jumpers, and goes higher than any other jump plane in the area. The jumpers are super friendly and everyone makes you feel right at home. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and professional and they go out of there way to make everyone feel comfortable. The facilities are still coming along, but the dropzone recently purchased 5 acres on the airport, so I think the sky's the limit with where this place will be going. I would certainly recommend KCSC!
