I started not to write this review because more people would just add up to less jumps for me but I've got to tell you man, this is the place. The view is far better than most dropzones and the people are awesome. This is a small dropzone with a lot of one on one. The perfect place to learn and have a great time.

I only have 125 jumps though Ive been jumping for 5 years, and the few places I have been able to jump at have been nice, but situated on the confluence of the Mississippi and Ohio rivers the view is awe inspiring.There are few places on the planet like this. Everyone there is like family, bastard children type family, but they're the most fun anyway.

I have been jumping at SEMO for the last three years with the SIU Skydiving Club. The instructors are friendly, knowlegable, and have great stories. Most of them have been jumping since skydiving started, with more than 30 years experience. Its a small dropzone, so its easy to get many jumps in, and the group is fairly tightly knit. Everyone is accepted and made to feel welcome and there are no cliques. The location is amazing, right at the bottom of Illinois next to the Missippi river, so at altitude you have an awe inspiring view of both the Mississipi and Ohio rivers meeting. The prices are extremely reasonable, and could be better if gas weren't so expensive lately. The regulars are always willing to offer advice or answer questions, and friendly. I am lucky to be so close to a this DZ, and plan to keep jumping there for years to come.

This dz is the friendliest dz you can find. We welcome everyone! We love company, campfires and great conversation in a relaxed atmosphere! The aircraft is a Cessna 206 and Cessna 205 and Pilatus Porter.

I Love this dropzone. It is the home of the SIU Skydivers and the SEMO Skydivers. Great ppl, great parties, great food at boogies. The guys who run it awesome and where pinoeers of the sport. They always make you feel right at home and have some really great stories.

If you are in SIU jump at this dropzone. If you are not at SIU jump at this dropzone. You will love it.
