I was in NZ for some job training and had a few days off over the weekend. I wanted to get in a few jumps but my rig is in the US. The staff hooked me up with some student gear. Everyone was very helpful & very professional. Checked out my credentials and did a great job of briefing with info about the DZ. The Porter climbs fast and is a lot of fun to jump out of. I can't say enough about how nice the staff treated me. My only (small) complaint is not too much rental gear. I guess this is to be expected at a small DZ like this. Overall had a great time. I'll be back for sure.

Good place for a couple of hundred of jumps. Really cheap place. Kichen, dorm, lage paking place. Still dont know who is running the place but if you are a experiance jumper and you are fine. No restorant, no rigging on site just so you know. nice short drive from auckland city. over all, plane is going uo high and fast 16k most of the time. Freefly big way medium level, but anough to have a blast... be safe, blue sky

This is what a DZ should be. Plenty of room here for sporties, students and tandems to co-exist in harmony. Big fast plane, $30 sport slots to 14000', well-equipped bunk house... The weather was great, the people were friendly and hospitable... I am so impressed with every aspect of this terrific drop zone.

So this place now has a Super Porter where all loads go to 14,000 feet for 30nz dollars. 15 minute turn arounds.
Also have tons of couches and bean bags around a 200 inch sony projector with complete cinema surround sound in the new packing hanger. Packing hanger will accommodate about 20 packs while the smaller shed will pack about 8 and then there is the covered area.
100 jump packages can be worked for a price of 22nzd per slot to 14,000 feet.
NZ 4-way team is here as well as nzfreefly.com. The coach Jamie Lyver is on his way to the world record head down.
Wendy Smith is here doing camera as well as teaching AFF and doing coach jumps.
If there are no rooms left in the bunk house, you can sleep in the owners house, if there are no rooms left there you can sleepin their lounge, plenty of matresses.
This DZ rocks, 3 plane formation jumps and kick ass freeflying.
Find a better dz in this country.... i dare you!.
You can not beat the price, 30nzd max to 14,000 feet.
See you soon..... oh accommodation is usually free if you come with the right attitude.

Sunset loads are fantastic. The lift plane is really fast, the rental gear was really good new kit.

When we asked where was a decent place to stay nearby, the owners put a mattress on the floor of their lounge for us. They would have let us use a spare room but they were already housing other skydivers and had run out of beds...thatīs the sort of place it is.
