Banner Advertising Options and RatesDropzone.com advertising rates are based on CPM. CPM is an industry standard term and refers to Cost Per Thousand banner impressions (displays). The table below shows the CPM in the different cost zones and how many displays you'll receive for $100 - $500 per month in any zone. This means that you'll pay $2.00 for every 1,000 banner displays in the Dropzone.com Forums and $10,00 for every 1,000 displays on the Homepage. Or for example, $200 will buy you 100,000 impressions in the Forums or 20,000 on the Homepage.

What are zones?We have divided the site up into 4 different cost zones. Areas of the site that fall in the same zone all have the same CPM. To give you maximum flexibility you can choose to have your banner displayed in any individual area of the site only, or you can have it spread amongst all pages in a specific zone at the same cost. You have to purchase advertising in different zones separately though.Impression frequency capIf you so choose, Dropzone.com will place a frequency cap on your daily impressions to distribute them as evenly as possible over a month. If for example you purchase 30,000 monthly impressions in a zone, we can cap them to a maximum of 1,000 per day to give your campaign an even distribution over the entire period of time. If you'd prefer to run a short and high impact campaign (at the launch of a new product for instance) we can of course ignore the cap and display your banner as many times as possible in as short a time as possible. The choice is yours.Advance purchasesSave 20% if you purchase advertising in any zone and pre-pay for 6 months or more. Advance purchasing is the best way to establish your presence on the site for a set period of time, ensuring that other advertisers cannot push you out. Any web site can only sell as many banner ads as its traffic allows. We therefore need to limit our advertisers as well.PaymentPayment must be received in full for the purchase period in advance before the account will be created.Banner SpecificationsThe information below should help you to create your banner for Dropzone.com. We use standard Internet banners, so you may already have one, and if not you should be able to use the banner you create for Dropzone.com in the future as well.
Standard Banner | Dimensions: | 468 x 60 pixels | | Format: | GIF, GIF89a, JPEG | | Animation: | Total time delay of each image must be 5 seconds or more (500/100ths in delay controls) Looping allowed. | | Size: | 15Kb max. Bear in mind that the larger the banner size in Kb, the slower it will load (1Kb = 1 second at 14.4 bps) and quick loading works to your advantage. | | Link Info: | Every banner must have both a working URL and a text alternative (up to 30 characters). |

- You can have up to 3 different banners on a single account at any given time. The number of impressions for the total account will remain the same but the banners will be rotated for maximum impact.
- You will be able to see individual statistics for each banner and can replace an ineffective banner at any time.
- All banners will be reviewed by Dropzone.com and are subject to approval before placement on site.
Account and Campaign Management To enable you to keep track of your account or campaign we will provide you with a username and password, which will allow you to view your account details online. Real-time statistics will always be available to you, so you can keep tabs on how effective your banners are. You can view daily and overall statistics. If, at any time, you want to update or replace your banner, you can do so at no extra charge.
